About Nayeon
Nayeon was cast by JYP Entertainment as a child model, then passed the company's open audition in September 2010 and trained for five years before Sixteen. She was almost part of the cancelled 6Mix project in 2014 and debuted with Twice in October 2015. She became the group's first soloist in June 2022 with the EP Im Nayeon and its single “Pop!”, and has since built a second career in advertising and fashion.

Auditioned for JYP Entertainment on September 15, 2010 without telling her mother, who had opposed an idol career because of her age.

Appeared in the second episode of the 2012 drama Dream High 2 while still a trainee.

Was lined up for the six-member group 6Mix in 2014, which was scrapped when two trainees left JYP.

Studied theatre and film arts at Konkuk University and took a leave of absence because of the group's schedule.
