Han grew up between Mokpo and Malaysia before returning to South Korea at fourteen to audition. He co-founded 3Racha with Bang Chan and Changbin after MIDI classes and is the most prolific solo contributor to the group's SKZ-Record/Player project, with more than a dozen original solo songs plus soundtrack work for anime and Korean dramas.

Born in Incheon as the younger of two sons; his family moved to Mokpo and later to Malaysia, where he was briefly at Fairview International School before being homeschooled.

Returned to South Korea at fourteen having promised his parents he would go back to Malaysia if he had not passed an audition within a year; JYP Entertainment took him on after a second try.

Co-founded 3Racha with Bang Chan and Changbin and released the solo track “I See” under the alias J.One on their 2017 mixtape 3Days.
