Youngseo placed second in the R U Next? finale on September 1, 2023 and was one of the two members chosen by public vote for Illit's original line-up. Belift Lab announced on January 5, 2024 that her contract had been terminated by mutual agreement, so she never took part in an Illit release. She signed with The Black Label and debuted in the co-ed group AllDay Project in June 2025.
