Minju decided she wanted to be an idol at fifteen and was scouted at a dance academy, spending three years as a YG Entertainment trainee and four more at Belift Lab before finishing third in the R U Next? final vote. Away from the group she hosted KBS's Music Bank for more than a year and won a Best Couple award with her co-host. She has writing credits on “Not Me” and “Love, Older You”.
