Moka grew up in Kitakyushu surrounded by K-pop because her mother was a Big Bang fan, auditioned for Hybe Labels Japan while she was in middle school and moved to Belift Lab in order to compete on R U Next?. She trained for three years before debuting with Illit in 2024. Since April 2026 she has stepped back from activities twice for treatment of anxiety and excessive tension, and has been away from the group since June 19, 2026.

   Grew up around K-pop because her mother is a Big Bang fan, and went to a Big Bang concert with her in her last year of primary school.
