Min Yoon-gi wrote lyrics and made beats as a teenager in Daegu, where he performed underground as Gloss. He joined Big Hit Entertainment in 2010 after placing second in the label's Hit It rap audition and debuted with BTS as SUGA. Under the alias Agust D he has released the mixtapes Agust D and D-2 and the album D-Day, while also producing music for BTS and other artists.
