About RM
Kim Nam-joon grew up in Ilsan and performed in Seoul's underground hip-hop scene as Runch Randa before becoming the first future BTS member to join Big Hit Entertainment in 2010. He debuted as Rap Monster, adopted the stage name RM in 2017 and has led BTS throughout the group's career. His solo releases include the mixtapes RM and Mono and the albums Indigo and Right Place, Wrong Person.

Began writing poetry as a student and became interested in hip-hop after hearing Epik High's “Fly”.
