ZEROBASEONE was formed through Mnet’s Boys Planet, whose April 20, 2023 finale selected nine trainees for a multinational boy group managed by WAKEONE. The name links a beginning at zero with the members becoming one, while their fans are known as ZEROSE. Their official debut followed on July 10, 2023 with YOUTH IN THE SHADE and the lead single In Bloom.

The debut EP topped the Circle Album Chart and became a double-million-selling debut, launching a run of rookie awards at ceremonies including MAMA, the Golden Disc Awards and the Melon Music Awards. MELTING POINT followed in November 2023, while You had me at HELLO and CINEMA PARADISE expanded their Korean catalogue in 2024. That year also brought their Japanese debut with YURA YURA and the Timeless World tour; BLUE PARADISE and their first studio album NEVER SAY NEVER followed in 2025.
RE-FLOW closed the original lineup’s recording chapter in February 2026. After their final nine-member concert on March 15, Zhang Hao, Ricky, Kim Gyuvin and Han Yujin concluded their group activities and subsequently debuted with AND2BLE. Sung Hanbin, Kim Jiwoong, Seok Matthew, Kim Taerae and Park Gunwook continued as ZEROBASEONE, releasing the seven-track EP Ascend- on May 18 with TOP 5. Their Japanese EP 回帰LOVE followed on August 19, led by Existence.
