JYP Entertainment introduced Wonder Girls through MTV Wonder Girls before their television debut with “Irony” on February 10, 2007. The original members were Sunye, Yeeun, Sunmi, HyunA and Sohee. Yubin joined later that year after HyunA left, and the first studio album The Wonder Years made “Tell Me” a major breakthrough.

“So Hot” and “Nobody” followed in 2008. The English version of “Nobody” reached number 76 on the Billboard Hot 100 in 2009, making Wonder Girls the first South Korean act to enter that chart. Their American activities included touring with the Jonas Brothers and a TeenNick television film. Hyerim joined in 2010 during Sunmi’s hiatus; Wonder World and Wonder Party followed in 2011 and 2012.

After an extended hiatus, Sunmi returned and Sunye and Sohee formally left in 2015. Yeeun, Yubin, Sunmi and Hyerim returned as an instrumental band with Reboot, followed by “Why So Lonely” in 2016. The group announced its disbandment on January 26, 2017, and released the farewell single “Draw Me” on its tenth anniversary, February 10.
