TREASURE is a South Korean boy group formed by YG Entertainment through the 2018–2019 survival series YG Treasure Box. The original plan paired the teams TREASURE and MAGNUM as TREASURE 13; after Ha Yoonbin left before debut, the project became one twelve-member group. TREASURE officially debuted on August 7, 2020 with The First Step: Chapter One and “BOY.” Two more single albums followed that year, leading into the January 2021 album The First Step: Treasure Effect. The group also built its audience through the variety series Treasure Map.

The 2022 EP The Second Step: Chapter One paired the forceful single “JIKJIN” with “DARARI,” which spread widely through short-form dance videos. Its follow-up, Chapter Two, included “HELLO” and songs highlighting the group’s rap and songwriting units. Mashiho and Bang Yedam left TREASURE and YG Entertainment on November 8, 2022 after earlier breaks from activities. The remaining ten members released Reboot in July 2023, with “BONA BONA” and the T5 unit single “MOVE.” Japanese albums, arena concerts and original songs such as “BEAUTIFUL” and “Here I Stand” became another major part of their work.
After the 2024 singles “KING KONG” and “LAST NIGHT,” TREASURE released Pleasure and Love Pulse in 2025 and expanded its concert activity with Special Moment and Pulse On. The fourth numbered mini album NEW WAV arrived on June 1, 2026, led by “IF I” and featuring the rap-unit track “NALLY-NA (HYUNHAYO).” That June, Haruto and Yoon Jaehyuk took on the newly named class-president and vice-president leadership roles, succeeding Junkyu and Asahi. YG announced a temporary health-related break for Junkyu on June 29; he remains a member. The official Japanese profile lists the seven-city, seventeen-show TREASURE THE STAGE 2026 NEW WAV : IN JAPAN run beginning in July.
