Choi Yeon-jun trained for roughly four years at Big Hit Entertainment, after an earlier stint at Cube Entertainment, and was the first member of Tomorrow X Together revealed to the public in January 2019. Kai Kamal Huening was born in Honolulu to a Korean mother and an American father of German descent and grew up mostly in China before moving to South Korea, where he joined Big Hit as a trainee at 13. A multi-instrumentalist and one of Tomorrow X Together's most credited songwriters, he released his debut solo track, "Dance with You," in July 2025.

Tomorrow X Together (투모로우바이투게더), commonly shortened to TXT, is a five-member boy band from Seoul formed by Big Hit Entertainment (now BigHit Music). Yeonjun, Soobin, Beomgyu, Taehyun and Hueningkai were introduced one by one over ten days in January 2019 and debuted on March 4 with the EP The Dream Chapter: Star and its lead single “Crown,” which topped the Gaon Album Chart and Billboard's World Albums chart and gave the group the highest Billboard 200 debut of any male K-pop act at the time. The name is a transliteration of “Tomorrow by Together” — five people coming together under one dream to build a better tomorrow — and the group swept new-artist prizes that year, including Rookie of the Year at the Golden Disc and Melon Music Awards.

The group built out a run of linked album “chapters” through the early 2020s: The Dream Chapter continued with the studio album Magic (2019) and the EP Eternity (2020), followed by a Japanese debut and the Chaos Chapter era, whose lead single “0X1=Lovesong (I Know I Love You)” featuring Seori pushed The Chaos Chapter: Freeze (2021) to a No. 5 debut on the Billboard 200, the group's first US top-ten album. TXT became the first K-pop act to perform at Lollapalooza in 2022 and the first to headline it in 2023, the same year The Name Chapter: Temptation and its single “Sugar Rush Ride” arrived alongside the collaborations “Do It Like That” with the Jonas Brothers and “Back for More” with Anitta.
After the EPs Minisode 3: Tomorrow and The Star Chapter: Sanctuary (2024), the group went on a planned break following the January 2025 Golden Disc Awards so members could rest after leader Soobin's health-related hiatus; they returned with the digital single “Love Language” and the album The Star Chapter: Together (2025), toured on Act: Tomorrow, and all five renewed their contracts with BigHit that August. A third Japanese album, Starkissed, followed in October 2025, and in 2026 the EP 7th Year: A Moment of Stillness in the Thorns gave Tomorrow X Together their first “Grand Slam,” winning all five of Korea's major music-show trophies with a single song.
