A2O LITE (에이투오 라이트) is a nine-member girl group from A2O Entertainment, the company SM Entertainment founder Lee Soo-man set up after leaving SM; he serves as its key producer. The line-up is Young, Himeki, Vora, Xili, Rada, Merci, Ayune, Oa and Aijing: three Koreans, three Chinese members, one Japanese and one Thai member, plus Oa, who holds both US and Japanese citizenship. All nine were born between 2008 and 2013, and Xili, Merci and Oa had first appeared publicly as trainees in the agency's A2O Rookies videos. The name pairs A2O, short for "alpha to omega", with "lite" for light and lightness.

The group was announced on October 8, 2026, together with the 15-member boy group A2O SOUL, and both acts were presented at the joint showcase "Welcome to Soulite From A2O SOUL A2O LITE" at KINTEX in Goyang on October 12. A2O LITE released its debut digital single "NEON" the next evening, October 13. Written, composed and arranged by Yoo Young-jin and Dem Jointz, the 3:28 dance-pop track is driven by a heavy bass line and the hook "neon and beyond", and leans on a cappella passages, high notes, a bridge and a dance break that critics tied to Lee's earlier SM productions.
"NEON" reached No. 1 on Melon's Top 100 at 11 p.m. on October 14, 29 hours after release, the fastest climb by a rookie group's debut song since Melon revamped the chart in 2021. Reception was split between listeners welcoming an old-school K-pop sound and others calling it dated. Both A2O groups share a fictional universe, the A2O Cosmic Epic, set on the resource-rich planet Soulite, which the agency says can support sub-units, joint stages and solo projects.
