82MAJOR is Great M Entertainment’s six-member boy group from Seoul. Cho Seong-il, Yoon Ye-chan, Nam Seong-mo, Hwang Seong-bin, Park Seok-joon and Kim Do-gyun debuted on October 11, 2023 with ON, following the prerelease of “Sure Thing” on October 5. Five members had previously shared music and performances through the RAREHOUSE project. The name combines South Korea’s telephone country code, 82, with the ambition to become a major act.

The group built its catalogue around hip-hop and contributions from its members. BEAT by 82 arrived in April 2024 with “Choke”, followed by X-82 and “Stuck” in October. SILENCE SYNDROME and Trophy followed in 2025. Alongside the main releases, the group issued remixes of “Choke”, “TAKEOVER” and “TROPHY”, including a version remixed by Yoon Ye-chan.
In 2026, 82MAJOR released the five-track EP FEELM on April 28 and the single album HEAT on September 1. The latter is led by “Like Fire” and includes “wyd?”, a Spanish version of “TROPHY” and a VIANN remix of “Sign”. That year the group received two D Awards, a Best Performance award at the K-World Dream Awards and the Global Connect award at the SPOTV K-POP Awards.
